What to do in Verona with children

Visitare Verona con i bambini

Who says that children get bored when visiting an art city?

The city centre of Verona is easy to discover on foot, with large pedestrian areas, a few public parks and playgrounds. Verona offers several attractions and fun activities both for adults and children. Here you can find some suggestions to organise an unforgettable family holiday:

- Go to the IAT – Tourist Information Office in Piazza Bra and pick up a free copy of the city map “Verona for Kids”, for special itineraries and a little treasure hunt in the city centre

- Visit the Natural Science Museum: Its incredible collection of fossils will blow your kids' mind with tropical fishes, crocodiles, tortoises and whole fossilized trees dating back millions of years. There are also minerals and embalmed animals.

- Book a ticket for the the Verona Children's Museum https://www.cmverona.it/en/, a new and modern space in the southern suburbs. The rooms are specially designed for an interactive experience: Children can learn to milk a cow, discover the secrets of light, carry out experiments with water, build a house, activate complex machines, etc..

- If you are staying for more days, you can organise a day trip to Gardaland, Italy's most famous amusement park. In the new Legoland section, among waterplays and swimming pools, you can see the most iconic Italian monuments entirely build in Lego bricks.
